TETHER RESTRAINT HARNESS
The Butler Tether Harness is designed to keep a crewmember inside the aircraft during open ramp or open door operations. A Butterfly Snap (PS22042) attaches the tether to the harness and is secured with a ball-lock pin. A modified PS70120 Static Line Snap attaches the tether to the aircraft and is also secured with a ball-lock pin. The tether is adjustable up to a standard 12 foot length or to a custom length per customer requirements. The back of the harness includes a pouch for stowing the tether. The snap is stowed behind the Main Lift Web cover and secured in place with Velcro to allow for quick access when needed. The harness is fully adjustable to fit the user.

The Tether Harness is intended to keep a crewmember inside the aircraft. Although it has been tested at loads exceeding 3,000 pounds, it is not designed to arrest a fall from an aircraft. Proper tether length must be ensured prior to use.
